Our Institute
I am a second-year student of the Rubtsovsk Industrial Institute. The institute was established in 1946. Primarily it was the Evening Faculty of the Altai Polytechnical Institute. Nowadays many things have changed. The Institute is made up of 5 faculties: Technological, Humanitarian, the faculty of Secondary professional education, the faculty of Correspondence education and the Extention education faculty. It trains engineers in following specialities: Organization Management, Finance and Credit, Economy and Management, Technology and Business, Applied Mathematics, Civil and Industrial Engineering, Machines and Equipment of Food-processing Industry, Foundry Machines and Production, Technology of Machinery, Agricultural Machines, Automobiles and Tractors, Automobiles and Equipment, Electrifying of Industrial Enterprises.
The students who attend lectures regularly, usually pass their examinations more successfully. They get good and excellent marks and seldom fail.
The academic year begins in September and is over in June. There are two terms in the course of the academic year. Twice a year the students take examinations and tests. During the terms students have to attend lectures, to carry out laboratory tests and to do practical work. They have at their disposal all kinds of laboratories, a good library and a reading room, a gymnasium, some computer rooms. The laboratories are provided with the most up-to-date equipment. The students make different experiments and carry on research work there.

M.: No, it isn’t. I have finished a specialized mathematical school where mathematics was studied more thoroughly (тщательно) than at other schools. Besides, I have taken part in a mathematics contest of our city.

M.: No, I was the second. The first one was the boy from one of Novosibirsk mathematical schools.

M.: Yes, I have been there this year with a group of students of our faculty.

M.: Oh, I have seen a lot. But now I have no time to tell you about it. Well, Vera, what are you doing here? Are you reading for your exams too?
V.: No, I am not. I’ve passed all my exams with good marks this term and so my holidays have already started. I’m waiting for my friend here. Good luck, Mike.
